Airport may apply for a landing visa at the Visa Office of Consular
Affairs Bureau at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. |

who enter the Republic of China through the Kaohsiung International
Airport shall apply for a "temporary entry permit" at the Kaohsiung
Aviation Police Station for temporary permits. These passengers must
change the permit to a visa at the Bureau of Consular Affairs or its
Kaohsiung Office within three days, or will be subjected to
administrative penalty for overstaying. |

Visas & Entry
PRC citizens seeking entry to Taiwan to take part in an event will need to apply for the relevant visa to gain entry to Taiwan. Participants of an event or conference will generally need to fill out a Taiwanese Visa Application Form for PRC Citizens as well as prepare several additional documents. We are able to assist you with the application process by helping you to prepare the required documents and send your documents to the National Immigration Agency. Please complete these forms and contact Ms. Alice Wang or Mrs. Katherine Salter for further details. All fields are compulsory and the information must be as it appears in your passport. We are unable to accept incomplete forms.

Taipei is Taiwan's largest city, as well as its
economic, political, and cultural center. It is a modern cosmopolitan
metropolis with a lively and diversified face, filled with exuberance.
Taipei is also home to many fine museums. On the city's outskirts, the
Yangmingshan National Park has a unique volcanic terrain, a rich
variety of forest vegetation, and an extensive network of hiking
trails, making it a popular destination for visitors from the Taipei
area and elsewhere. The city's comprehensive rapid transit system takes
you quickly to just about anyplace you might want to go in the

Taipei Tourists information
Visit the government’s official website to obtain detailed information
of Taipei attractions, including the Yangmingshan National Park,
amusement park, farm/scenery, night market/snack, museum/gallery and
heritage/temple.
Taiwan Tour Bus
The Taiwan Tour Bus offers touring packages with multi-lingual guides specially designed for visitors who are only available for a short stay
in Taiwan. Each package includes all the fees of bus, insurance, guide
tour and admissions/tickets, etc.

Weather
Weather is changeable in October. Please check the local temperature prior to departure.
Tipping
Tipping is not expected in Taiwan. Most hotels and some restaurants automatically add a 10% service charge to the bill. The only exception to this rule is hotel bell caps and airport porters. The usual tip is NT$50 per bag.
Electrical
Taiwan uses electric current of 110 volts at 60 cycles; appliances from Europe, Australia or South-East Asia will need an adaptor or transformer. Many buildings have sockets with 220 volts especially for the use of air conditioners.
